Concurrent Enrollment or F-2

Concurrent Enrollment: If you are interested in enrolling at SBCC while attending another institution as an F-1 student, complete the application instructions below.

Dual Enrollment: If you are an international student attending a local high school in the SB area, you can apply to take a class at SBCC through our dual enrollment program. Follow the instructions below. 

F-2 Enrollment: F-2 Visa holders may apply to attend classes and may enroll in up to 11.5 units per semester. Follow the instructions below.

INSTRUCTIONS: Submit a complete application at least two weeks before the semester/term begins. Late applications will be processed, but we cannot guarantee it will be processed by the registration deadline. You must be in legal F-1 or F-2 status.

1. A completed General SBCC Application

2. A copy of your current I-20 form. *

3. A copy of your F-1 visa, passport, and I-94.*

4. A copy of your unofficial transcript and/or proof of current registration status. (F-2's must submit a copy of the F-1 visa holder's transcript or proof of current registration)

*F-2 visa holders must also submit copies of the F-1 visa holder's I-20, passport, visa, and I-94.

Next Steps: After Admission

LOGIN TO YOUR PIPELINE ACCOUNT: Log in to your SBCC Pipeline account to find your username and create your password.

FILL OUT THE "HIGH SCHOOL DATA FORM": If you want to take an English or math class, or any class that has an English or math prerequisite, fill out the form. You may use your high school or college/university coursework when you fill out the form. High School Data form sample and instructions.

PREREQUISITE INFORMATION: If the prerequisite you need is not cleared based on your High School Data Form results, you can apply for clearance if you have passed the equivalent prerequisite at another school. Use "Prerequisite Clearance Form A" or "Prerequisite Clearance Form B" at this link: Prerequisite Clearance Form Instructions - Form A requires an official transcript, and Form B allows an unofficial transcript (or photocopy). Requests are generally processed within ten (10) business days of receipt of your completed form and all required documentation.

PAY FOR YOUR CLASSES:  The payment deadline is within 7 days of the date you register for a class. Submit your payment in  Pipeline with your credit or debit card.
