Assistant Superintendent / Vice President, School of Extended Learning

Welcome to the School of Extended Learning!

It's been an honor to serve in the role of Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of the School of Extended Learning.  

For the past 25 years, I have served in a variety of roles at Santa Barbara City College.  Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught in the School of Modern Languages, ESL, Work Experience and Personal Development.  Throughout my tenure at SBCC, I have held positions as Director of Study Abroad, Senior Director of International Programs, Dean of Business and Media Arts, and most recently as Vice President of the School of Extended Learning. In addition to my work at the college, I have held various leadership roles within different higher education professional associations, and I currently serve on the Santa Barbara Workforce Development Board.

At the School of Extended Learning, we are committed to offering exceptional and comprehensive learning options tailored to the educational needs of our adult community and to providing a diverse learning environment and opportunities for students to enrich their lives, develop employability skills, and advance their careers. Our dedicated team makes it a priority to develop programs and services that are responsive to the continuously evolving needs of our students, employers, and our local community.  We are firmly committed to removing barriers for students by developing and implementing comprehensive wrap-around support services and to supporting our faculty in their ongoing efforts to develop innovative courses and programs that are relevant to student and employer needs.
